Looks like a great service but will not allow remote access to the MySql data like other providers and does not offer mysqldump abilities to export partial datasets from the data (all or nothing) so Fatcow will not work for my robust programming environment. Probably a good service if you want to run everything from their website. Not worth me creating s to manually export the data via ftp/email = pain in th butt. Sorry fatcow, moving my sites.

It didn’t take me long to look through the fatcow web hosting features, and that the price was affordable for me, finally I decided to give fatcow a try. There were times when my website went down due to technical reasons I couldn’t understand, so I would contact their 24/7 help desk. Within minutes, my problem was either rectified or passed on to a tech support person who would figure out the root cause of the issue within a day or so. Not bad for the price in my opinion. I would recommend FatCow for anyone that wants a hosting company that offers ease of use and also friendly customer service reps.

Frankly speaking, for me I give fatcow an A- rating. Not for others, just because there is no dedicated IP option. That’s mean, you can do nothing if you got a bad neighbor which do harm to your site. Such as a punished domain or IP. If set the IP issue aside, I personally give fatcow a A+ Rating for their excellent features and lowest money costs.

For WordPress & Joomla websites, FatCow is a good choice. I am now got 8 wordpress blogs and 6 Joomla websites hosted there, I am so pleased with the performance of each site and have no question in the past 2 years. The only thing I am not so satisfied is their support response a little slow, always need to wait 12+ hours for responding. However, they are helping me every time, when an issue appear.

I have been worked with FatCow for about 3 years, and moved from GoDaddy in 2007. IMO, this is the first real-host I have never used before, so my review is from a “senior” perspective.
Fatcow customer support is always there, I wait from 1 to 3 minutes on their “live chat” before get answered. Most of their techs seem competent, but I am no power user. I found it very easy to migrate my five domains to FatCow– you just create a sub-folder in your account and, use their domain pointer tool to point to it and tell your registrar (Namecheap in my case) that the DNS is handled by FatCow. It is *really* nice to administer everything under one account, which I cannot do under GoDaddy. I can create FTP accounts restricted to the sub-folders allowing others access to just the places I want. PHP was easy to enable using only the online help. The SPAM filters are very effective and can be tailored to each email address, domain or all hosted domains.
